Director’s background:
Saman Hosseinpuor: Saman Hosseinpuor was born in Saqez/Kurdestan/Iran at 1993. He started acting in Theater and he was just 14 years old, He started filmmaking at 2008. In the meantime he started writing short story. He is a director and Writer and he lives in Iran.
Ako Zandkarimi: Ako was born in Sanandaj/Kurdistan/Iran at 1993. He started Filmmaking when he was just 15 years old and he was just a student in high school and that was the start of his passion to Cinema.

«Blessed» tells the story of 20 year old Daria Buss, who lives together with her grandparents in a small apartment in the far eastern city of Vladivostok, Russia. Daria has been thrown out of her home, because of her activism in the local LGBT-organization Lighthouse. Secretly she has initiated a relationship with a Russian woman in Berlin, and the movie brings us into the everyday life of a young woman. Filled with studies, activism, hopes for a better future, and an intense longing for her girlfriend. The unity she finds in the little organization, Lighthouse, is the only thing that keeps her hopes up in a society that is still making it very hard for the queer population to openly love who they want.
Director’s Filmography:
Signe Rosenlund-Hauglid has earlier co-directed the short documentary «What I Am Looking For?», which was screened in two film festivals in the summer of 2018. She has also worked with visual story telling in the newspapers VG and Dagbladet, where she among other things filmed the daily lives of an Indian family left behind in the slums of Mumbai - after their relative, Mona, died working as a surrogat for a Norwegian couple in 2012. The story «Mother for rent» was published in VG in March 2018. «Blessed», her second documentary, was also screened during Barents Pride in Kirkenes in the fall of 2018.
Director’s background:
Signe Rosenlund-Hauglid is educated in journalism from OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University. The past two years she has extended her knowledge and searched for new ways to tell personal stories related to larger topics in societies across the world through filmmaking. This has been done through her studies in creative documentary filmmaking at OsloMet. Signe has through her short filmmaking career worked with different topics related to minorities, women, and daily issues that exists in every society.

This is the first time I show one of my movies to public but will definitely not be the last.
Julia Levin is a Swedish student at Nordiska folkhögskolan in Sweden with a big passion for theatre, animation and comedy. I have been making home movies since my childhood and always loved creating new stories and characters in my mind. I strive to study 3D animation in the future and to make my stories come to life through animation with my own skills only. My biggest inspirations in filmmaking are The Great Train Robbery, WALL-E and Charlie Chaplin.

While driving to a wedding, a Kurdish family hits a wild animal. The father, Aram, is forced to decide whether he should kill the animal or attempt to rescue it. Later it becomes clear how Aram struggles to find a place both in his new country as well as within his own family.

Brwa Vahabpour (b 1993) is a Kurdish-Norwegian filmmaker from Trondheim. He graduated from Nordland College of Art and Film in 2014 before attending The Norwegian Film School. Brwa has previously directed the short films Smile and Pomegranate, where the latter received the Film critic jury's honourable mention at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad in 2017.

Director’s Background:
Albin Abrahamsson (born 1999 in Sweden) and Jakob Eliasson (born 1999 in Sweden) began exploring film as an art together in their early teens and have gone from hobby filmmaking to working with film and television on a daily basis. They are producing and directing under the label Vintertid, which directly translates to Wintertime, and often co-produce with other directors and companies. In addition to fiction, they also do commercial and documentary work. Albin and Jakob both share a wide interest and experience of the whole production chain where technical, creative and organisational skills come to use. However, the composing of a visual image with all that entails has always been of particular interest. This is their first time directing a short with an original screenplay which makes “From our laundry” their debut short film. Nevertheless, it is not their first short as members of the creative management. Albin and Jakob have worked closely with short film directors in positions like DP, camera operator, co-producer, editor and colorist.
