This year we'll have a various range of interesting professionals from the film and music world as mentors at NUFF. There will be 4 mentors for the film workshops. The first two have now signed up.
Lasse Gjersten vom Norway is already an old friend of NUFF, in 2008 we presented his films in a special show, he came back in 2016 for the New Media seminar WEAVE where he talked about his YouTube experience and last year he was mentor for group one (check the video here...).
Mahasen Nasser-Eldin from Jerusalem is also a former acquaintances. In 2011 she was part of the NUFF jury and we're happy to invite her back as mentor (with the support of Fritt Ord). Beside being mentor of one of the film groups she will also have a seminar about young Palestinian filmmaking and present a program of Palestinian short films.
For the Barents Sound Design workshop we were able to sign up Alexander Aarøen Pedersen from Tromsø as the musical mentor and Sivert Henriksen as sound engineer. In this workshop the young Russian and Norwegian participants will be part of the film groups producing the film-music.
