Six young ladies form a band on a dark January evening in Oslo. None of them know each other, but everyone knows Maria, the left-wing lesbian with the high-pitched opinions. They call themselves a political telegram embellished with flute, fiddle, guitars, drum and bass. Throughout the spring, a warm friendship and a luminous band career is formed. Then real-life knocks on the door. WRONG DIRECTION is an engaging, joyous documentary that is also a relatable coming-of-age story.
